I’ve made a few changes to the way Operation BSU’s shows are being put together and presented. It’s actually a pretty heavy-duty structural changes that codifies more than we used to, so go and read it on the BSU community and give me your comments.

Show suggestions are always welcome, and I’m really trying to find a sweeter spot to attract more listeners regularly, both live and via download.

First step is to cut the length of the show back hard. Second is to mix the voices up during the segments up better. I’m hoping I get time to produce new segment bumpers which are topic-related more than Anchor-related before Sunday.

There are times I wonder if I don’t put too much thought into this.

I like adding new music to the Redoubt. In this case, the most recent acquisition is a signed edition of the Flesh Is the Law CD from the Genitorturers. One of my favourite bands, and I have a signed CD.

There’s also a lot of Gwar on the system now (the whole discography, in fact), so if you haven’t dropped by in a while come on by. There’s an entirely new streaming option for a 32k AACplus stream which should be slightly better than FM quality if you’re looking to minimize your bandwidth consumption.

So, yeah. It’s bedtime now. And after that’s over, I’ll be working on production for the ep of BSU Sunday. Sometime I’ll have to write a bit on the stuff I do behind the scenes before anyone ever hears the show.

I'm vaguely annoyed.

No, not at the fact that pictures of me seem to be strangely descending into some kind of nightmarish horror that stops clocks, breaks mirrors, and causes babies' eyes to bleed. I'm used to that. That's the normal.

I'm vaguely annoyed that none of my usual geotagging tools are actually working, not Flickrmap, not Geoblog, not anything. And that pretty much reduces me to retagging everything by hand, which, frankly, sucks. I'm not only lazy, I've got better things to do.

Mutter.

On the other hand, at least I filled my belly with the wondrous joy that is Koream spicy pork, despite its deleterious effects. Good food is the best part of life.

I've put together a new podcast that, even now, is flowing up to the Archive server and preparing to be reviewed by their crack team of analysts. Or at least someone'll check to be sure it is, in fact, audio data and put it up on their massive, burly servers.

New this week is an entirely forged from sweat and heat version of the intro tune. A cardboard cookie to the first one who can identify the background track that provides the beat.

Does anyone actually listen to these things, anyway? I mean, I realize I've been on hiatus a while, but surely its not as frighteningly bad, historically, as my gut tries to tell me, right? Right?
