Status Report: Ugh. Well, at least I'm online -- albeit, from the office. DSL is still out at home, thanks to the fact Speed Factory muffed my credit card expiry and, thanks to being out of town I didn't get that fixed until Tuesday. Everything's back on track, but until the hardware's in and connectivity's up, I'll have to drive in to this hellhole.
Needless to say, I'm less than thrilled.
On the upside, I've got a Con experience worthy of being converted into a short feature script, and I can at least get to my email through exopilot@yahoo.com so all is not lost. But if I seem grumpy and out of sorts, well, its because of the addiction twitches.
Games: Thank Hades for Animal Crossing. Its wonderfully mindlessly calming. I just have to remember to turn on the lighthouse every day after I wake up this week. Its rather charming. At the other end of the scale is War of the Monsters for the PlagueStation 2 ... which is both damn hard and annoying to control. The pseudo-first person isometric over-the-shoulder view makes navigating around the oversized cities a bit of a chore, and since locking on to your enemy requires holding both shoulder buttons, you can just imagine my deep and abiding pleasure (cynicism alert). And don't even get me started about the annoying boss monsters. On the other hand, its a beautiful looking game -- I just think Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is a better one.
