Well, fuck me with a stone razor, good things can happen to me.

My friend Misty, who works downstairs in Compaq Hell, pointed out before I left work Sun morn that I should check out MetLife's car insurance rates, because they have a special group rate with Compaq. This, knowing my last quote from Progressive was for $1100/6mo.

I called them up this morning. Much negotiation ensued. I ended up getting quoted $817/6mo for the Trans Am.

That comes out, roughly, to what I was paying for the truck. I knew I was getting screwed, but ... yeeow! Talk about stretched-rectum moments.

Anyway, its a positive life-move, and it pleases me. :)
